WHO IS N1SRL

AMATEUR OPERATOR

Holding a Technician Class License, I normally carry a Dual Band (2M/70cm) Portable while in my company vehicle during work for Severe Weather. My Personal Vehicle has the ICOM ID-4100A, as well as other equipment. I have added another ID-4100A, as a Base Station with the Diamond Base Antenna X30A, at my Home QTH.

MY EMPLOYMENT

I work unusual hours in the Field Service industry. Working a 4 Day work week and Always On Call, usually working Afternoons and Nights. The area I cover includes Hampden-Hampshire-Franklin-Berkshire Counties. Service Calls are generated at will, so I am always on the move throughout Western Massachusetts.

BACKGROUND

Besides being in the Field Service Industry, I have over 20 years in Private/Contract Security, was a CT State Certified Criminal Justice Security Instructor for Guard & Blue Cards, Red Cross Cert. Instructor, operated a Watch, Guard & Patrol Company and Served as a Private Investigator and Response Officer.

I enjoy creating webpages/sites for a variety of uses. As a freelancer, I create sites for Individuals, Small Businesses, Friends and Others looking to increase their Web Presence. Drone Fun

As a UAS (Drone) Owner, I currently fly under Section 336 for hobby & recreational use.. However, I have studied and should have no problem passing the Remote Pilot's Exam in order to achieve the Certificate to fly under the FAA's Small UAS Rule (Part 107) for Recreational and Commercial Use. I just have to take the time to schedule the test.. Hopefully Soon!

Prepper...Me?

I wouldn't consider myself to be a Prepper, in the sense that some spend their Life Savings for Doomsday, But I do like to be somewhat prepared for the smaller disasters and emergencies that could arise. Now, If I win the lottery maybe I would at least design/build a home that would withstand most weather related events and be self powered.
